Springfield-Greene County Health is pleased to name Whitney Mann as Communication and Outreach Coordinator. Mann joined the Health Department as a Contract Public Health Information Specialist in October 2020. She most recently acted in the role of Public Health Program Representative. In this role she implemented and led the department’s first full-scale Outreach team.
Mann brings six years of public service and administrative experience to the Health Department. This summer, she led a grant project that secured three years of mental health funding for the Healthy Living Alliance of the Ozarks. Mann also played a large role in COVID-19 vaccine rollout and outreach in the community. She previously served as Program Director for Safe and Sober, a local nonprofit focused on preventing substance misuse in youth.
In this role, Mann joins the administrative team at the Health Department. Her primary responsibilities include development and implementation of the department’s communication and outreach strategy, media relations and health promotion.
"It's been a tremendous honor to serve the community in varying ways at Springfield-Greene County Health throughout the last three years,” Mann said. “I'm beyond grateful for the leadership I have been entrusted with, and I look forward to carving out our vision for what comes next.”
