Missouri Job Center Hosts Employer Roundtable to Discuss Working with Young Adults
The Missouri Job Center is hosting an Employer Roundtable on September 13, 9-11 a.m. at the Job Center located at 2900 E. Sunshine in Springfield. The event focuses on finding possible solutions to better engage young adults aged 18-24 in the workforce and identifying barriers to keeping them employed.
“We are really focusing on sitting down with employers from all industries and having an in-depth conversation on how to engage and keep young adults in the workforce,” said Tracy Keithley, supervisor of the Aspire Youth program at the Missouri Job Center. “Along with challenges in recruiting and retaining younger workers, we also plan to discuss any skills gaps employers may encounter,” Keithley added. “We want to find out what employers need so we can come alongside them and help train and equip younger workers with the skills they need to be successful,” she added.
Employers who would like to participate in this free event, can RSVP to [email protected] or call 417-887-4343.
