The City of Springfield has reserved up to $564,703 of State and Local Fiscal Recovery (SLFRF) American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA) funding to create Homeownership Assistance Program(s). The purpose is to provide a low-barrier assistance program to increase Springfield’s homeownership rates. The City’s Department of Planning & Development has issued a Notice of Funding Availability and invites qualified nonprofit organizations to submit letters of intent by noon on Sept. 25 to submit proposals to provide programming. Proposals are due by noon on Oct. 16. Two pre-proposal technical assistance and information meetings will be held at 2:30 p.m. on Sept. 12 and at 1 p.m. on Sept. 18 at the Busch Municipal Building in the second-floor conference room.
