FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

As part of the intersection improvement project at Campbell Avenue and Primrose Street, traffic will be shifted to the new outside lanes of Primrose Street just east of Campbell Avenue after the morning rush Tuesday to accommodate pavement repair and replacement between the two lanes. Left turns off of Primrose will still be available throughout the work.

The $2.3 million project, funded by the 1/4-cent Capital Improvements Sales tax revenues, will provide roadway and stormwater improvements to the intersection and surrounding area at Campbell Avenue and Primrose Street.

“Traffic volumes have demonstrated a need to widen this intersection and add dual left turn lanes on southbound Campbell Avenue and westbound Primrose Street,” says Public Works Senior Designer Dave Shalla. “We will also extend the northbound third lane on Campbell Avenue from South Avenue to Primrose Street.”

The contractor for the project is Hartman & Co. The estimated completion date for the project is June 2016.

For more information, please contact Dave Shalla at 417-864-1945.
