FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
The Springfield Police Department was dispatched to an injury crash near Sunset and Jefferson at 1:23 p.m. on Jan. 19. A 2005 Pontiac Vibe driven by Timothy D. Keeling, 67, of Springfield, was traveling southbound on Jefferson when it struck a 2008 Ford F350 driven by Roman A. Krishchenko, 25, of Springfield, traveling westbound on Sunset. Krishchenko reported minor injuries, and Keeling was transported to a local hospital. On Feb. 4, Keeling succumbed to the injuries sustained during the crash. Next of kin has been notified, and the investigation is ongoing.
This marks the fourth fatality crash in Springfield for 2016.
