The Ozark Region Workforce Development Board and the Missouri Job Center have partnered with Community Partnership for the third annual Achieving the Dream Life Betterment Fair on Friday, March 4. Central Assembly is hosting the event at 1301 N. Boonville.
The Missouri Job Center, Community Partnership, Women Infants and Children (WIC), Family Support Division (FSD), Vocational Rehabilitation (VR), Ozarks Area Community Action Center (OACAC), The Kitchen, Springfield-Greene County Health Department, various veterans' services, and other organizations will be present from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. with a variety of resources.
Resources available will include information on career services such as resume help, interview tips, and how to find a job; information on area programs such as childcare, SNAP, healthcare, and affordable housing; and information on filing income tax returns and FAFSA forms as well as advice from area educational institutions.
A hiring event will also be included on-site between 10 a.m. and 1 p.m. with over 30 businesses present. Individuals are encouraged to dress professionally and bring a copy of their resume to review, meet with prospective employers during the hiring event, then follow-up with additional programs of interest.
