MEDIA ALERT: City to celebrate the completion of the South Creek Restoration Project Oct. 26

The City of Springfield invites the public to celebrate the completion of the South Creek Restoration Project at a ribbon cutting ceremony 10 a.m. Wednesday, Oct. 26 at Sunset Street and Grant Avenue, near the South Creek Greenway Trail. Parking is available along Grant Avenue and Edgewood Street.

The purpose of the project was to improve water quality and habitat for aquatic life by removing the concrete channel and restoring the creek to a more natural condition in the one-mile section of South Creek along Sunset Street between Campbell Avenue and Kansas Expressway.
