Missouri Job Center to assist Greene County with hiring event on 4/7

The Ozark Region Workforce Development Board and the Missouri Job Center will be assisting the Greene County Highway Department with a hiring event on Thursday, April 6, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Greene County Highway Department, 2065 N Clifton Ave. Greene County is seeking 20-25 Temporary, Seasonal Maintenance Crew Worker positions.

These positions will be temporary from April through October with employees working Monday through Thursday. Crew members will receive $9.01 without a CDL and $11.18 with a CDL. Greene County said, "The number of applicants with a CDL have been steadily decreasing each year. If positions are not filled to capacity, county residents could see a noticeable decrease in mowing in the right of ways, and a delayed response time with other routine & requested maintenance items."

The Ozark Region Workforce Development Board and Missouri Job Center serve the counties of Christian, Dallas, Greene, Polk, Stone, Taney, and Webster. The Ozark Region boasts three Missouri Job Center locations (Branson, North Springfield, and Springfield), as well as a Mobile Career Center. The Ozark Region has a long history of working with job seekers and businesses to meet the workforce needs of our community.
