FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
The intersection of Bennett Street and Enterprise Avenue will close beginning at 7 a.m. Sunday, June 4 through Saturday, June 10 (weather permitting) for construction on intersection improvements related to the Burlington Northern Santa Fe (BNSF) Railroad crossing improvement project.
The project will involve the lowering of the train tracks by 12-18 inches and the raising of the of the approach on the east side of the tracks in an effort to improve sight distance issues causing safety concerns at the Enterprise Avenue intersection. New ADA-compliant sidewalks will be added as well as improvements to the storm sewer system.
Motorists are advised to seek an alternate route.
