EmployAbility Summit to highlight diversity inclusion in the workplace
Join other area employers at the Third Annual EmployAbility Summit luncheon for a presentation on disability inclusion in the workplace 10:30 a.m.-1 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 18, at The Diamond
Room, 2340 W. Grand St. This event aims to motivate employers to hire individuals with disabilities and provide them with information on to promote inclusive environments within their business.
This event is made possible by the collective effort of the EmployAbility Collaborative. This network of area businesses and service providers continues to focus on the most pressing challenges of the workforce within the Ozark Region.
“The Ozark Workforce Development Board recognizes that a diverse workforce is central to our success as a community and as a nation,” said Mary Ann Rojas, Director of Workforce Development. “We encourage our business partners to attend our third annual forum to participate in this very important training opportunity but mostly to learn of the importance of inclusion in the workplace.”
Employers and service providers are encouraged to attend to generate networking opportunities and promote their services. Registration is required and interested parties can register at springfieldmo.gov/EmployAbility until October 15th. Tickets are $30 per person or $240 for a table of eight.
