The Springfield-Greene County Health Department is proud to represent Southwest Missouri as part of the Missouri Women's Health Council.
Assistant Director Katie Towns has been named to the council, which had its first meeting October 25.
"To be a part of such a prestigious, passionate, capable group of women brought together to serve and improve women’s health in Missouri is such a privilege," Towns said. "I look forward to working alongside these women to seek ways to bring diversity of thought, experience and expertise together so we can unite around priority issues to create real and lasting change to serve women in our communities and throughout our state. There is no better way to achieve success than through women fighting for each other!"
