The intersection of Market Avenue and College Street will be closed beginning 6 a.m. Tuesday, Nov. 7 for utility work associated with the College Street Streetscape project. College Street will be closed to through traffic between North Main Avenue and Market Avenue. A sign detour will be marked and motorists are asked to use alternate routes while work is being completed. The section of College Street is expected to reopen Thursday, November 9, 2017.
The College Street Streetscape project will provide a continuation of the existing bicycle track, new ADA sidewalks, new storm system, curb and gutter, tree wells and lighting enhancements.
The project is funded out of the Community Development Block Grant Commercial Loan Program. The contractor for the project is Woody’s Express Trucking, LLC.
