Public invited to discuss future of Kearney Street with City staff Jan. 12

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE


What does the future hold for Kearney Street? The City of Springfield is conducting a market study to look at current business patterns and future opportunities for retail and commercial development along the Kearney Street corridor (Kearney Street between Kansas Expressway and Glenstone Avenue). Springfield and surrounding community residents are invited to attend a public open house to talk about future development in the Kearney Street corridor 6-8 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 12 at Library Station,
2535 N. Kansas Expressway. 


Join the City of Springfield and the planning firm PGAV to share your ideas for new businesses and housing on Kearney Street. Guests are encouraged to drop in anytime between 6 p.m. and 8 p.m. and bring an old photo or memory to share about Kearney’s past.
