What: City Council Community Involvement Committee Meeting

City Council’s Community Involvement Committee will hear presentations from representatives from the Springfield-Greene County Health Department and a panel assembled by the Healthy Living Alliance at a meeting at 1 p.m., Tuesday, June 6. The meeting will take place in the Busch Municipal Building 4th Floor Conference Room.
Mayor Pro Tem Jan Fisk chairs the Community Involvement Committee, which has general responsibilities for legislative priorities, neighborhood and environmental issues.
Assistant Director of Public Health Clay Goddard will be proposing a local Prescription Drug Monitoring Program as a beginning step in a strategy for addressing substance misuse and addictions in our community and the troubles stemming from such misuse.
The meeting will be live streamed at cityview.springfieldmo.gov and on City of SGF Facebook Live, in addition to broadcast on cable. Immediately following the meeting, the video will be available for viewing on cityview.springfieldmo.gov.
