Strafford AT&T customers now able to call 9-1-1

UPDATE

The Springfield-Greene County 9-1-1 Emergency Communications Department was notified by AT&T early this afternoon that the issue for the 736 exchange (primarily Strafford) has been resolved.  Strafford public safety personnel have been notified as well.

Springfield-Greene County 9-1-1 Emergency Communications was notified by AT&T during the early morning hours that 9-1-1 landline calls in the 736 exchange (primarily Strafford) was not available. A short time later, we were notified the issue had been resolved; however, we have discovered services are still down at this time. We attempted to have AT&T route calls to the Strafford public safety personnel but have been told this is not an option.

This issue is affecting those with the 736 exchange (i.e. 417-736-XXXX). We encourage citizens in this area to use their cellular devices if they need to place an emergency 9-1-1 call. We will send information when we are notified the issues have been resolved.
