The City of Springfield department of Environmental Services will provide City Council with an update on the proposed Landfill Greenhouse Project today at noon during City Council Lunch workshop. These workshops are held on the 4th Floor of the Busch Municipal Building (840 Boonville Avenue).
The goal of the Landfill Greenhouse Project is to utilize the waste heat generated by the Noble Hill Landfill Renewable Energy Center and buffer land adjacent to the Springfield Landfill to construct a facility that would provide locally grown, fresh food while also creating jobs, educational opportunities and economic growth for the community.
