City Council accepting applications for City Utilities Board

City Council is accepting applications for the Board of Public Utilities through Oct. 19. Interviews will take place on Oct. 31.

Two seats are open – one of which requires residency in the Springfield city limits and the other may reside anywhere in the City Utilities service.

City Utilities is governed by an 11-member Board of Public Utilities appointed by City Council to serve three-year terms. The Board establishes policies on how to best serve our customers and sets the long-term direction for the utility as outlined in the City Charter. The Board meets the last Thursday of each month at 3 p.m.
