FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
The first quarter of 2019 saw the Springfield Fire Department achieve reaccreditation through the Commission on Fire Accreditation International (CFAI) and the Center for Public Safety Excellence. CPSE accreditation is an honor bestowed on a relatively small number of fire departments around the world, with only 266 accredited agencies worldwide. This recognition was achieved through the hard work of each member of the department.
