Primrose Street will close at South Avenue 10 p.m.-6 a.m. Tuesday, May 14 through Friday, May 17 for gas and water relocation work for the Primrose Street Widening Project – South Avenue to Kimbrough Avenue. The roadway will be open to traffic outside these hours. These closures are weather dependent.
The project widens Primrose Street to five lanes between South Avenue and Kimbrough Avenue. The project includes the addition of bike lanes, sidewalks, storm sewer, curb and gutter, gas and water renewals, traffic signal upgrades at the intersection of Jefferson Avenue and Primrose Street and a sewer extension.
The project is funded by the 1/4-cent Capital Improvement Sales Tax.
