America’s Promise Health Care Hiring Event on May 20
The Missouri Job Center is hosting a health care hiring event to assist recent graduates in finding employment who are recipients of the America’s Promise grant. The hiring event will be held Monday, May 20, 10 am - 2 pm, at the Missouri Job Center, 2900 E. Sunshine.
Eleven local heath care providers will be on site to talk to graduates and possibly conduct interviews. Attendees should bring copies of their resume if possible. “We wanted to help recent and soon-to-be graduates find employment as soon as they graduated,” said Lexi Mason, outreach specialist for the Missouri Job Center. To date we have 40 EMTs, 19 RNs, and 10 CNAs who graduate this month, an additional 15 behavioral health specialists will graduate in August, Mason added.
Even though the event is being hosted for the recent graduates, the hiring event is open to the public. “Any job seeker who is interested in employment in a health care related field is invited to attend,” Mason said. The America’s Promise Grant is a $3 million grant that provides tuition-free training for health cared related fields.
