Job Fair Aimed at Supporting Springfield’s Hispanic Community

The Missouri Job Center is partnering with ALAS, a local Hispanic support organization, to host a multi-industry hiring event to assist Spanish speaking individuals in finding employment. The    hiring event is Saturday, June 22, 10 am - 12 pm, at the Missouri Job Center, 2900 E. Sunshine.

Seven local employers will be on site to talk to job seekers. ALAS volunteer translators will be on hand to assist with job applications and on-site interviews. Attendees should bring copies of their resume if possible.

“We are happy to host employers such as Cintas, Communications Solutions, Mercy, Nixa Wal-Mart, O’Reilly Hospitality, Poor Boy Tree Service and CorTech Staffing in their efforts to recruit a more diverse workforce,” said Mary Ann Rojas, Director of Workforce Development for the City of Springfield. A diverse workforce makes Springfield a more vibrant place to live, Rojas added.
