The City of Springfield and the Springfield-Greene County Health Department will host a media briefing at 2:30 p.m. Friday, August 21 in the Training Room of the Public Safety Center, 330 W. Scott.
We ask that members of the media—one per outlet—arrive 10-15 minutes early for a health screening. Please wear a face mask and practice physical distancing while in the briefing.
The briefing will provide a COVID-19 update and discuss enforcement of the City’s current phase of the Road to Recovery orders.
Media can utilize footage from a pool camera but will be spaced to maintain physical distancing. Reporters and the public can continue to tune in to the livestream on the City’s and Health Department’s Facebook pages or at https://cityview.springfieldmo.gov/livestream/.
For reporters who will not appear in person, questions can be directed via text message to Cora Scott, 417-380-3352.
For media requests, please contact Cora Scott, Director of Public Information and Civic Engagement at 417-380-3352; Kathryn Wall, Public Health Information Administrator at 417-380-2556 or Jasmine Bailey, Public Affairs Officer at 417-839-5301.
