To help families navigate a new set of challenges brought on by the pandemic this school year, the Springfield-Greene County Health Department has launched a new online educational toolkit for parents and students.
The toolkit provides valuable information on how parents can promote a healthy learning space and help their children adapt to a very different educational environment, whether they are back in class or learning from home.
The educational toolkit can be found at health.springfieldmo.gov/kidsandcovid19.
The toolkit also includes links to guidance pages for childcare centers and K-12 schools.
Children between the ages of 5 and 17 have accounted for 7% of new COVID-19 cases in the last two weeks in Greene County. Although this relatively low number is encouraging, we cannot let our guard down and must remain vigilant so we can continue to slow the spread of disease.
