Veterans Drive Thru Job Fair Set for October 22
As a service to the men and women who have served our country, the Missouri Job Center Ozark Region and the American Legion Goad-Ballinger Post 69 are hosting a Veterans Job Fair on Thursday, October 22 from 9 am to 12 pm. The Drive Thru Job Fair will be located in the parking lot between American Legion Post 69 and Jordan Valley Ice Park.
The event is open to all Veterans, transitioning service members, Reservists, National Guard, military spouses, military family members and the general public. Safety and social distancing measures will be in place and masks are required.
“Hosting an employment and resource fair fits into the Missouri Job Center and the Legion’s shared mission of helping current military and Veteran families thrive,” said Sabrina Bonnette, U.S. Navy Chief (Ret), LVER, and Charter Member of Women Veterans of SWMO Post 1214.
Participating employers include CoxHealth, Springfield Police Department, Greene County Office of Emergency Management, Greene County Sheriff’s Office, Buckhorn, Securitas, Red Monkey Foods, Vital Farms, Promoveo, Poor Boy Tree Service, US Navy Recruiting and US Army Recruiting. In addition, Veteran’s Upward Bound and American Legion Post 69 will have resource booths set up.
