As our community continues to see increased access to COVID-19 vaccine, the Springfield-Greene County Health Department hopes that at least 70% of our population will become vaccinated to provide sufficient protection for our community.
Employers and community organizations play a vital role in COVID-19 vaccine outreach and education. To ensure that these trusted sources are providing the most accurate and relevant information, the Health Department is launching the COVID-19 Vaccine Toolkit.
The complete toolkit can be found at health.springfieldmo.gov/vaccinetoolkit
This resource combines best practices from the Centers for Disease Control with feedback from members of our community to provide employers and organizations with the tools to properly address any hesitation that individuals might have and encourage them to receive the COVID-19 vaccine.
The toolkit includes educational content, talking points, email and social media templates, flyers, and answers to frequently asked questions. It also includes information about local vaccine opportunities for individuals, businesses and organizations.
The Health Department hopes that every resident of southwest Missouri will take this vital step to protect themselves, their loved ones, and their community. The vaccine is safe, effective and critical to allowing us to open the economy and return to a sense of normalcy.
Employers and organizations with questions or those interested in hosting an employer-sponsored vaccination clinic can call the COVID-19 Call Center at 417-874-1211 or email [email protected] for more information.
The Springfield Area Chamber of Commerce is also connecting the business community to timely information relating to COVID-19 vaccination efforts. Employers can visit their online Employer Vaccine Resource Center at www.springfieldchamber.com/vaccine for additional educational resources on vaccine options for employers.
