Health Department and Jordan Valley Community Health Center phase out mass vaccination site

news flash - vaccine update

The Springfield-Greene County Health Department and Jordan Valley Community Health Center (JVCHC) are phasing out the COVID-19 vaccination clinic at 1720 W Grand St.

Since its opening day on Feb 3, the Health Department and JVCHC have administered more than 41,000 doses of COVID-19 vaccine at this location alone. The Health Department and JVCHC partnered to establish this clinic as a centralized and easily accessible location where vaccines could be administered to as many people as possible, as quickly as possible.

As the availability of the vaccine has increased, the focus has shifted to offering vaccination clinics in smaller, more convenient settings. Both the Health Department and JVCHC will continue offering onsite vaccination clinics at businesses, nonprofits, churches, events, neighborhood centers, and anywhere else where unvaccinated individuals can be reached. If you are interested in hosting a vaccination clinic with the Health Department, you can reach the Outreach team at [email protected] or through the COVID-19 Call Center at 417-874-1211. Those interested in the JVCHC Mobile Vaccination Unit can contact Bob Stephens at 417-831-0150.

JVCHC is offering walk-in vaccinations for Pfizer, Moderna, and Johnson & Johnson Monday – Friday from 8 am – 3 pm, with extended hours on Tuesday from 8 am – 6 pm, at their 618 N Benton location. Everyone 12 years and older that is not fully vaccinated is encouraged to make getting vaccinated a priority. Information on vaccination appointments and walk-in opportunities can be found at or by calling 417-874-1211.

Inquiries from the public can be made by contacting the Health Department’s call center at (417) 874-1211 or by email at [email protected].
