The Springfield-Greene County Health Department is cautioning the community not to grow complacent as the rate of new COVID-19 cases increases slightly following several weeks of declines in Greene County. Today, the 7-day average of new cases increased by 16% over last week to 63 cases per day. Meanwhile, the rate of new vaccines given continues to slow. To date, 51.5% of Greene County residents remain unvaccinated. The COVID-19 vaccine is safe, effective, free, and the best tool available to prevent future surges caused by Delta or other COVID-19 variants. Below is a list of additional opportunities for individuals to receive vaccine for the week of September 20-26:
Monday, September 20
English Village (SGCHD) -- 2620 E Chestnut Expy from 3 pm – 5 pm. Vaccine offered: Pfizer (ages 12+)
Tuesday, September 21
Pebblecreek Apartments (SGCHD) -- 2835 S Fort from 9 – 11 am. Vaccine offered: Pfizer (ages 12+)
Gibson Chapel (SGCHD) -- 536 E Tampa from 11 am – 1 pm. Vaccine offered: Pfizer (ages 12+)
Westside Health Department (SGCHD) – 660 S. Scenic from 10 am – 2 pm. Vaccine offered: Pfizer (ages 12+) or Moderna (ages 18+)
Polo Club (SGCHD) -- 4347 S Weller from 3 – 5pm. Vaccine offered: Pfizer (ages 12+)
Thursday, September 23

Saturday, September 25
Titanic Museum (JVCHC) -- 3235 W 76 Country Blvd, Branson from 10 am – 2 pm. Vaccine offered: Pfizer (ages 12+), Moderna (ages 18+) or Johnson & Johnson (ages 18+)
These opportunities are in addition to the recurring vaccination clinics at Jordan Valley Community Health Center’s Tampa Clinic at 440 E. Tampa. Jordan Valley is offering walk-in vaccinations for Pfizer, Moderna, and Johnson & Johnson Monday – Friday from 8 am – 3 pm, with extended hours on Tuesday from 8 am – 6 pm COVID-19 vaccines are also available by appointment or walk-in through CoxHealth and Mercy Hospital Springfield.

Although pre-registration is not required, individuals may make an appointment for a vaccine clinic at vaccine417.com.

Along with providing first and second doses of vaccine, the Health Department is also offering third doses of the Pfizer-BioNTech and Moderna vaccines to certain immunocompromised individuals. Qualified individuals may obtain a third dose at any clinic listed at vaccine417.com or by calling the COVID-19 Call Center at 417-874-1211.CoxHealth, Mercy Springfield and Jordan Valley Community Health Center are also offering third doses for moderately to severely immunocompromised individuals.
