City to reveal winning Grant Avenue Parkway contractor proposal Aug. 31

GAP_PR_FBTwitter_v3After an extensive proposal development and selection process, The City of Springfield is excited to announce a design and construction contractor will be selected early next week for the Grant Avenue Parkway corridor improvement project.

The City will announce the winning contractor team and showcase their proposal during a virtual Grant Avenue Parkway Project Reveal announcement at 2 p.m., Tuesday, Aug. 31. The public is encouraged to tune in at and to watch live or view a recording.

The Grant Avenue Parkway will create a multi-use pedestrian and bicycle pathway along Grant Avenue between Sunshine and College Streets, in the heart of Springfield. The 3-mile stretch is intended to connect downtown Springfield to the Wonders of Wildlife National Museum and Aquarium – linking parks and recreation amenities, neighborhoods, schools and trails in between.
