Those interested in the Restore SGF initiative are invited to attend the City Council Luncheon 11:30 a.m. -1 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 7 in City Council Chambers (third floor of Historic City Hall, 830 N. Boonville) for a presentation about the trip to Des Moines, Iowa June 29-30 to learn more about Invest DSM, an established housing community development corporation. Invest DSM Executive Director Amber Lynch will be present at the meeting to answer City Council's questions about how such a program could be implemented to improve the housing stock in Springfield's historic neighborhoods.
Reduced capacity for seating inside Council Chambers will allow for social distancing. Capacity will be 65, including City Council members, staff and media. The east door of Historic City Hall will be the public entrance for all meetings. Temperature checks will be required to enter Historic City Hall. Anyone with a temperature of 100 degrees Fahrenheit or higher will not be allowed inside.
