City recycling facilities to remain closed Feb. 24 due to inclement weather

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

UPDATE: City recycling centers will remain closed through Thursday, Feb. 24 due to inclement weather. 

~ ~ ~ ~ ~ 

The Springfield Yardwaste Recycling Center (3790 S. Farm Road 119), Franklin Avenue Recycling Center (371 N. Franklin Avenue) and Lone Pine Avenue Recycling Center (3020 S. Lone Pine Avenue) will close due to inclement weather beginning at 2 p.m., Wednesday, Feb. 23 for the protection of citizens and staff. Recycling sites are expected to remain closed until City staff are able to respond to current winter weather conditions and ensure sites can be operated safely.
