Summer Job Fair for Vets and General Public on June 7
Twenty-five area employers and ten Veteran support organizations will be on hand for a Multi-Industry Hiring Event and Veteran Resource Fair on Tuesday June 7, from 2 – 6 pm. The event will be held at the Veteran Resell Store and Special Event Center, 3335 W. Sunshine. Military Veterans, spouses, and families as well as the public are invited to attend!
“Collaborating with local Veteran Support Organizations to host this hiring and resource event is a beneficial way for the Missouri Job Center to engage with the community. Veterans and the job seeking public can interact with employers and resource providers in a less formal setting, which can often spark positivity and create an atmosphere of genuine human interaction and problem solving.” said Sabrina Bonnette, Local Veterans Employment Representative for the Ozark Region and a volunteer member of the American Legion District 17 and Women Veterans of SWMO American Legion Post 1214.
Attendees should dress appropriately and bring copies of their resume if possible. Some on-site interviews will be conducted. To get help with resumes or for job interview appropriate clothing, visit the Missouri Job Center, Monday through Friday, 8 am to 5 pm. For more information on the event, please call Sabrina Bonnette at 417-234 2691.
