Build My Future Offers Grants to Bolster Workforce in Construction

The Build My Future Board of Directors is now offering small grants of up to $500 for individuals entering the construction industry through a gift provided by the HBA Charitable Foundation. The grants will help new hires get the needed tools and safety equipment required on a job site.

“As a member of the Build My Future Board, I am grateful to the HBA Charitable Foundation for providing this funding to help start someone on a career path in the construction industry,” said Sally Payne, Director of Workforce Development for the City of Springfield. “Anything we can do to help support someone on their career journey, we will do,” Payne added.

Grants of up to $500 are available to anyone who is either seeking or retaining employment that requires work-related items to get the job. Items can include tools, work boots, safety equipment, toolboxes and more.

To apply for a Build My Future grant, contact Tracy at the Missouri Job Center at 417-887-4343, or visit the Build My Future website at
