Springfield Fire Department releases Quarterly Fire Safety Report for the second quarter of 2022

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

The Springfield Fire Department responded to more than 3,200 calls for service (including 53 building fires), installed 271 smoke alarms, assisted with COVID-19 vaccine clinics, participated in training opportunities and placed Ladder 8 into service during the second quarter of 2022. With heavy rains in the area, the water rescue team was deployed to multiple incidents this spring and even responded to an emergency while returning from rescue swimmer training, immediately putting their newly improved knowledge and skills into practice.

Read about all of this and more in the Quarterly Fire Safety Report.
