This week’s COVID-19 public vaccination opportunities: September 19 – September 24

COVID-19 News

With flu season looming, it’s important to take precautions to protect yourself, your loved ones, and your community from getting sick by staying up to date with COVID-19 vaccines and the flu vaccine.

It is acceptable to get your COVID-19 vaccine and/or booster in addition to the flu vaccine at or around the same time, but it is highly recommended to talk to your doctor with any concerns about scheduling your vaccines. Everyone who plans to get their COVID-19 primary series and booster should follow the approved vaccine schedule which can be found at vaccine417.com.

Springfield-Greene County Health will be hosting two pop-up COVID-19 vaccination clinics this week in addition to the updated COVID-19 booster event on Sept. 24 at Kickapoo High School (3710 S. Jefferson Ave).

The event will be from 10 a.m. - 3 p.m. for those eligible. Appointments are required for this event and can be made at vaccine417.com or by calling the COVID-19 call center at 417-874-1211.

To accommodate demand, COVID-19 vaccines and boosters will be by appointment only at Westside Public Health Center through the month of September. To make an appointment, please call 417-874-1211 or visit vaccine417.com.

Individuals who receive a primary (first or second) dose of the COVID-19 vaccine or their first booster shot at a Health Department clinic will receive a $50 gift card while supplies last.
