Eldon Avenue to close at the BNSF railroad crossing south of Division Street Dec. 12-19

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE         

Eldon Avenue will close at the Burlington Northern Santa Fe (BNSF) railroad crossing located south of Division Street beginning 6 a.m., Monday, Dec. 12 through Monday, Dec. 19 (weather permitting). The work will facilitate the replacement of the existing railroad crossing and roadway surfaces.  

Drivers are advised to use an alternative route.

This project has been accelerated through a cost share partnership between the City of Springfield and BNSF Railway Company.  The City's portion will be funded through the 1/8-cent Transportation Sales Tax.
