Sponsor 99x (Times) Today!

Saturday, September 29, 6 - 7 PM Sponsor Hour; 7 - 9 PM General Admission

Join the revelry for 99x: Cirque Americana, this year's 99x (Times) Party, benefiting the Museum's Conservation and Preservation Fund. This event will transform YOUR Art Museum into a fantastical fairground of living art tableaux and magical performances inspired by classic American circus acts and attractions, in order to raise funds to restore works in our collection by noted Regionalist Ben Messick. Originally from Strafford, Messick earned his fame in Los Angeles as a sketch artist for Disney and Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer, and as a painter of urban American street scenes. His circus drawings, paintings, and lithographs - particularly his clown studies - became his trademark work. Sponsors receive numerous benefits including access to the VIP Sponsor Hour courtesy of O'Reilly Hospitality Management and Macadoodles. Don't miss this three-ring ritz! Creative cocktail attire encouraged. #99xCirque

Fresh Rotations

Beginning July 17, new works will be on view in Creating An American Identity, the semi-permanent, rotating exhibition of our permanent collection. New works by Neal Ambrose-Smith, Eric Fischl, Neal Harrington, Thomas Hart Benton, Robert Malone, and Donald Sultan will join the narrative of 18th Century American art to today, installed in the Musgrave Wing of the Museum. Rotating works of art on and off of view helps conserve our artwork - particularly works on paper - and keeps our collection fresh and relevant to our patrons. There's always something new to see at YOUR Art Museum!
