Mike SchillingMike Schilling was elected to City Council to represent Zone 3 in April 2015 and was reelected in April 2019. He currently serves on the Public Involvement Committee and the Finance and Administration Committee. Schilling’s civic involvement also includes service to many local organizations, including Ozark Greenways, Ozarks Literacy Council, Excel School, Springbike Bicycle Club, and the Westside Neighborhood Association.

Schilling received his bachelor’s degree in agricultural journalism from Iowa State University. Councilman Schilling has taught as an adjunct college instructor for the past 20 years, most recently American government and politics at Ozarks Technical Community College, as well as journalism and political science at Missouri State University and Drury University.

Schilling served eight years as state representative for the Missouri 136th District. During his tenure as a state representative, he served as the chair of the Consumer Protection and Housing Committee, co-chair of the Interim Committee on Mental Health Insurance Accessibility, and vice chair of the Appropriations Committee/Health and Mental Health. He also served as a member of the Budget Committee, Ways and Means Committee, Environment and Energy Committee, and the Higher Education Committee.

Councilman Schilling's term expires in 2023.
