| Dish to Dirt - Environmental Services | Dish to Dirt is a home composting program that is offered by the Solid Waste and Sustainability Department.
Food waste is a key component of our collective waste that makes it to the landfill every day. A home composting program is an opportunity for us to not only educate and engage the community on this topic, but to also institute new practices and behaviors at home.
Dish to Dirt is that opportunity. We provide residents in the Greene and surrounding areas with composting education, a countertop bin and an outside composting bin with accompanying turner.
By agreeing to participate, you are required to select and attend one of our compost courses. There is a one bin per household limit and a two household member limit per courses.
As a participant of this program, we will reach out 3-4 times over the course of the year to obtain feedback about your experience, usage and results.
By registering for this list through our site, in-person, via polling programs or other measures, you agree to receive emails that are to be used for newsletters and periodic updates related to the program with the potential for periodic general Environmental Services update emails.
