The Springfield man injured in a house fire on January 16th has succumbed to his injuries. Thirty one year-old-Derrick Pelliccio died just before 6 this morning at Mercy Hospital in Springfield.

Pelliccio and Purcell escaped the burning home, but both sustained significant burns.

One other adult in the home was able to escape with the three children unharmed. The children include a 5-year-old girl, a 2-year-old boy and a 1-year-old boy.
