Surveillance video from homicide case released

The Springfield Police Department is investigating the shooting homicide of Gregory Dahmm that occurred at approximately 1:30 p.m. on Sunday, August 18. The shooting occurred in an alley that runs north and south behind the Village Shopping Center located in the 2700 block of South Campbell Avenue. Detectives have obtained security video that captures a black male suspect entering and then fleeing from the alley (13.1 mb WMV file) at the approximate time of the shooting. The subject appears to be a thin black male wearing a white shirt, and jeans or pants. Investigators ask that anyone with information concerning this incident contact the Police Department at 864-1810, or if you wish to remain anonymous, contact Crime Stoppers at 864-8477.
